Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of our Ruby on Rails backend system
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems
• Take ownership of the backend system, identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to enhance performance, scalability, and security
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Ensure code quality through testing and debugging
• Monitor the performance of the backend system and implement optimizations to improve response times and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend development trends and technologies
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and standards

Requirements:

• Strong experience(7+ years of work experience) in backend development using Ruby on Rails
• Proven track record of leading backend development and taking ownership of complex backend systems
• Shipped and maintained code in production
• Experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with software development principles, patterns, and best practices
• Solid understanding of database design and optimization
• Experience in building scalable and highly available backend systems
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS
• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture would be a plus
• Experience in using version control systems such as Git
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
